Paaspop 2020

Each year, a group of Delta students participates in Paaspop, a renowned festival in the Netherlands. This edition saw the development of a new Timetable and several mobile-based minigames for visitors. The interactive Timetable, displayed on the main stage and centerpiece decor screens, showcases upcoming acts in Paaspop's house style, encouraging attendees to explore different performances. One of the minigames, "Ik Heb Liever," presents visitors with amusing "Would You Rather" scenarios every 25 seconds, sparking entertaining discussions and displaying choices and scores on the main stage screens via a web application.

Despite Paaspop 2020's cancellation, the Delta students were praised for their expertise and innovative work that embodied the ICT & Media Design program's essence. Their contributions, including the interactive timetable and engaging minigames, were recognized as well-designed and festival-appropriate, offering a colorful and humorous experience. Although the delivery was halted by the coronavirus pandemic, the collaboration was successful, and the concepts are set to be utilized in future editions.

The Timetable has been developed as an interactive web application, built and styled with HTML and (Sassy) CSS. For this edition, a completely new Timetable has been designed based on Paaspop's current style guide. In order to make the Timetable interactive, Vue.JS has been used to add reactivity to the Timetable, based on data supplied by Paaspop and parsed by our own Timetable data parser.
